Will IL MAKIAGE After Party Foundation be better than Woke Up Like This?
After a full day of wear (aka 12 hours of work and errands), my foundation was mostly still intact except for a wee bit of separation and dryness between my eyebrows and around my nose. However, these are my driest areas, which brings me back to my earlier point: If you have dry skin, make sure your face is fully hydrated and prepped before you wear this foundation. Il makeup This has the perfect amount of medium coverage. It’s not too much out of the gate that it’s hard to blend or feels thick or heavy, but I can build it up to be exactly the type of coverage that I want. I also love that I can sheer it out. When I don’t want too much, I can apply this right to where I need coverage (like my acne scars on my chin) with my fingers, and it blends right into my skin without covering my entire face with makeup. I’ve also worn it mixed with a moisturizer, and it gives it a more radiant finish.

What I took from Il Makiage’s Instagram ads (to me) was that the foundation was about to save my life: it would nurse me when I was sick, compliment me when I was down, tell me it loved me, and all while giving me the glowing skin of a genetically blessed runway model. Before & After: I Tried Skin Cycling so You Don’t Have To This isn’t as expensive as other favorite foundations of mine (looking at you, Armani Luminous Silk), but this is definitely up there. The price kept me from trying this for so long because I hadn’t heard enough about it to go for it. However, after trying it, this is definitely worth the high price tag and will remain in my collection as my favorite special occasion foundation for a long time.
